Unfortunately most apartments do not allow pets, but I have found a variety of apartments from South Queensland to North Queensland that do allow pets.

Some standard rooms allow pets. Each single apartment can accommodate up to 4 people and includes a double bed, 2 bunk beds, a kitchenette and a bathroom. There are also pet-friendly family cabins, which typically have a queen-size bed and a wood-burning stove in a separate bedroom.
The park is a short walk from the town center and has a swimming pool, games room, covered barbecue area and plenty of space for children to walk through the surrounding bushland.

Just steps from the beach (and a short drive from Palm Beach Dog Beach), some locations are dog friendly year-round and offer great pet-friendly suites.

Another fantastic dog park on the Gold Coast is BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park. The park is the most dog-friendly caravan park on the Gold Coast and features a large fenced dog park with agility equipment, DIY dog washing stations and kennels known as the ‘Puppy Care Home’.
Dogs are welcome in at least 20 pet-friendly cabins on campus. Pet-friendly options include cozy studios, cozy cabins, two-bedroom suites, two-bedroom family suites, bungalows, and two-bedroom patios that sleep two to six people. Pets are not permitted in motel rooms or some larger villas. If you’re not sure, double-check (look for fingerprints) at the park or on the website.
Up to two quiet, well-behaved dogs can be brought along at no additional cost, but advance reservations are required. When making a reservation, please be sure to let us know which park you will be traveling to with your pet and bring vaccination documentation.

North Stradbroke Island is one of the most dog-friendly islands off the Queensland coast and pets are allowed on the pier, outside beach and some of the island’s best beaches. The most common option is camping on the beach. Although it is only accessible by 4×4 vehicle, North Stradbroke also has friendly cabins.
Book your stay at Sea Shanties at Amity Point on the northern tip of the island. Five of the eight rooms are pet-friendly and well-behaved dogs are allowed. The tastefully decorated cabins sleep 2 to 6 people, each with a kitchen and bathroom.
Cottages offer sea or garden views, but all have access to the hotel’s waterfront space, including an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area.
The Great Sandy Channel is just a three-hour drive north of central Brisbane, but it’s a world away from the city, especially when you stay at the quiet and peaceful Pune Palms Holiday Park.

Pets are allowed in the park year-round at the discretion of management, including electric areas and pet-friendly rooms. Some of the two- and three-bedroom villas in the park are pet-friendly. Inquire directly about which villas are available and mention that you are bringing pets when booking.
The campervan park has its own dog park with agility equipment and a K9000 dog wash station outside the service building for cleaning up after sand activities. There is also a boat ramp, and the area is popular for fishing and crabbing.

The park is conveniently located in Point Vernon. While most beaches in the Hervey Bay area allow dogs on leashes, the Cape Vernon coast is mostly deserted. There are three different outlying areas, including the section between Appling Street and Pines Park, close to the caravan park.

The RV park is located just meters from the Nelson Park Dog Park at the north end of Fred Coutice Boulevard. Dogs are also allowed on Bargara Foreshore, accessible from the Esplanade, but please keep an eye out for signs prohibiting dogs.
Mount Lacombe Tourist Park is a great place to stay when driving north through Queensland. The park is located off the Bruce Highway, near the Gladstone entrance.
