The Life I Never Intended To Love: Dog Owner
Burlington, Vermont is one of the most dog-friendly places in the UK. With incredible outdoor activities and hip, urban backyards, Burlington is as much a playground for dogs as it is for their companions. You will find many fun activities to do with your dog. Walk the Burlington Greenway along the shores of Lake Champlain, and stop for a taste of local beer at one of the many dog-friendly breweries. Burlington breweries that allow puppies on patios include Foam Brewers and Zero Gravity Craft Brewery, and places like Switchback Brewing Co. also allow dogs inside. Street Market, one of the most popular pedestrian (and dog-friendly) shopping malls, offers many restaurants and shops. With miles of beautiful beaches, irresistible charm, and countless outdoor activities, Cape Cod is a great summer destination for people and dogs alike. You will really enjoy visiting Cape Cod National Seashore. This stretch of beautiful sandy beaches and sun-kissed paths makes the dogs lazy even in summer. Then, quench your thirst at The Brewing Company. They love dogs (and get along so well) that there is a dog sign that says “I hate racism” in the beer garden. There are also many pet friendly accommodation options in Cape Town. Treat your pooch at the Chatham Bars Inn restaurant or try “ruff-ing” with your pooch at Nickerson State Park.

Higgins Beach is a popular spot for kids to cool off in the sand and splash in the water. After a long day of fun in the sun, relax at the Inn by the Sea, a luxury beach resort that offers exceptional care for pets and their owners.

There are several dog-friendly eateries in town, including breakfast hotspot Black-Eyed Susan and American bistro Queequeg. This dog-friendly town in northeastern Vermont is a must-see. Known as the ski capital of the East, Stowe draws visitors from near and far each winter to the world’s best resorts. But with plenty of outdoor activities in every season, Stowe is a great place to relax with your dog.
For serious adventure, Smuggler’s Notch Park offers miles of hiking through the stunning Green Mountain Range. For something a little more low-key (but just as fun), you and your dog will love walking along Stowe’s recreational trails. This 11-mile trail is lined with dog-friendly restaurants along the way. There are also many dog boarding options in the area to suit all budgets. Top resorts such as the Trapp Family Lodge, Topnotch Resort and the Lodge at Spruce Peak offer great wildlife.
