This resort has everything you need for a wonderful vacation without leaving 700 acres of land. Choose from a range of fun activities for the whole family, from land to lake. We stayed in one of the three dog friendly cottage suites with lots of space and a private outside entrance. You can book these kits online and add a tag with your dog’s number, size and name at checkout. Dogs are only allowed in guest rooms. Out of respect for other guests, dogs are allowed on the hotel balcony and outside common areas.

This hotel has stylish cottage style decoration. The lobby lounge with vintage wood stoves and cozy fireplaces invites you to curl up with a book or a board game. You can have breakfast in the lobby cafe or simply enjoy drinks and light snacks in the vintage themed Après bar. You have to reserve the outdoor hot pot in advance, which is a bit inconvenient. But the advantage is that you are guaranteed to have it. The location cannot be beat. We managed to walk to the city center and the shuttle bus stopped in front of the hotel. It’s the perfect home base for you and your pup on your Vermont adventure.

Kimpton Taconic is really a good place to pack your bags. Rooms include food bowls, toys, treats and a plush bed for Orvis. (The famous Orvis store just down the street is a must visit with your dog). Dogs are allowed to eat in the hotel lobby and veranda and in the Miss Grouse restaurant. During the colder seasons, outdoor heaters are available to ensure you and your pup stay warm. Additional services include but are not limited to on-site concierge services, pet sitting, dog walking and pet spa services.

Made Inn Vermont in downtown Burlington is a home away from home for you and your pet. Pet Policy This boutique B&B in town welcomes well-behaved furry friends for $25 per pet per day. You can book directly online, add your dog to the number of guests and specify the details in the notes.

We stayed in room 904, one of the larger rooms recommended for large dogs. It was also very convenient with Roscoe, the bathrooms are down the hall (at least it’s private). The unique feature of the hotel may not be for everyone, but it is in a great location and a short distance from the city center. The owner is very friendly and will be happy to recommend pet friendly restaurants and things to do in Burlington.

Located between the towns of Killington and Rutland in central Vermont, Mountain Top Resort not only allows dogs, it makes dogs a priority. Their pet-friendly policy is welcomed in four luxurious king cottages and a selection of Vermont-style guest houses with boiled carrots, dog beds and bowls. You can pay an additional $50 per dog per night, with a maximum of two dogs per unit. Dogs must be registered at the time of booking.
