Dog Friendly Vacations Pa – On our way to and from the BlogPaws conference in Kansas City, we stopped in the quiet, historic town of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. He is a very friendly small town dog with a beautiful river flowing from him. The city is also home to Lock Haven University, a university with nearly 4,000 students. The William Clinger River Trail is a scenic trail that runs along the river for 2.25 miles. The river actually protects Lock Haven from the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.

The Riverwalk is a great trail that is very friendly and great for long walks. We love visiting Lock Haven because the waterfront offers a great way for us and the dogs to get some exercise and fun during our long layovers. I would definitely visit this dog town just for this beautiful river!

Lock Haven is not a busy town. There are a few small shops and restaurants, but it is a very quiet town. That’s what we love about it. It’s peaceful and quiet, you can enjoy the coast and beautiful architecture without worrying about the crowds or finding a parking space.

Some parts of the city seem to have run down, but there is still a lot of beauty to be enjoyed – especially the beautiful pavements!

Amazing Dog Friendly Hotel IN LOCK HAVEN On one of our trips from Phoenix to New York, we were looking for a dog friendly hotel not too far from Interstate 80. I was lucky enough to find a pet friendly hotel in the town. of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Finding this city and hotel is one of the joys of planning a cross country trip with two dogs! We have been to the Best Western four times in the last few years and love it. The staff are very friendly and happy and welcome their pets!

The rooms are updated, clean and very comfortable. They also provide free breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is that it is only a short walk from the hotel to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western and will be back soon! When I find a good hotel that really welcomes dogs, I try to go back to it again and again for more trips with dogs. In the summer, Lock Haven hosts many events on the river, including a free summer concert held on a floating stage!
