In addition to Tolovana Inn’s easy access to the beach, many of the upstairs rooms have dog-friendly ocean views, gas fireplaces, and decks. Other amenities that make the cottage family- and pet-friendly include an indoor pool and hot tub to board games, wagons, and beach toys. Honestly, I knew before we even arrived at this dog-friendly hotel on the Oregon Coast that this was going to be one of my favorite dog-friendly stays. How can you beat a sunset view from an ocean view balcony? Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa is located in Pacific City, on a stunning stretch of coastline along the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. Once we arrived, the hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. From the beautiful updated design, the serenity of the Oregon coast, to how friendly the hotel is to both people and dogs. My only complaint about the hotel is that we didn’t get to see as much of the Oregon coast as I had hoped because we loved the hotel so much we didn’t want to leave!

I will also mention that the first night we ate at Meridian (the on-site restaurant) which is also dog friendly. We were impressed by the tasteful design and excellent coastal cuisine. The second night we enjoyed quick burgers on our balcony while drinking wine and watching the sunset with the dogs – and that, my friends, was magical.
