The area is full of excellent walks, with plenty of dog-friendly pubs along the way, including The Two Sawyers, The Unicorn Inn and The Thomas Becket, which even has its own dog-friendly menu dogs
Rocks, Brighton is a great place to visit with your dog. Of course, a walk along the beach is a must, and while you’re at it, you’ll be tired of choosing where to stop for a coffee, beer, or donut. Because the beach is rocky and not sandy, it means your dog won’t be able to take half the beach with him by train or car. It’s worth noting that dogs are only allowed on certain beaches during the summer months, so check the municipality’s website for more information.

It can be a bit difficult to get there if you don’t have a car, but you can get there by train and taxi, and it’s worth it. Bedfordshire is not known for its mountain ranges, but from the modest hills of Dunstable Downs the view stretches for miles and miles. Last month some friends decided to take my husband and I on a surprise date. The caveat was that a dog had to be allowed, so they planned a full dog experience (we’re pretty impressed considering they’re not dog people!) and set their sights on the Chilterns a few miles away in West London, which we chose A. Getting to the Chilterns is easier and quicker than you might expect. You’ll be surprised that it’s only a 30-minute train ride from Marylebone train station (a cozy old station in central London) to Beaconsfield, where you can start exploring the Chilterns. We left Marylebone by train at 11.14 – a train with several carriages took us to our destination.
