“Wow says Harry! We’d love to host you at a park. Although it’s all dog friendly, we spent the day at Highland End and can’t believe how many friends we met! Here’s our guide to a great dog day out.” It’s in Highland End!”

Daisy and I started the morning with a nice run and play in the park’s dog exercise area. Here we can run further and have a magnificent view of the coast. We enjoyed burning off some energy in the caravan, ready to relax and have a drink before heading to the park shop where our owners picked up some morning pastries and delicious dog food! After some breakfast on our own we started to wind down and after a while we walked down to Eype Beach for a little picnic and a swim under Thorncombe Beacon and a rock swim. It took me a while to work up the courage to go swimming, but Daisy jumped onto the pebbles! After playing beach ball it was great to go down and swim, which we really had to ourselves!

After the picnic, we went up the hill to the park and had a quick wash in the doggy shower to wash off the sand and salt water. After a good night’s sleep in the afternoon sun, it was time to head to Martin’s Bar & Restaurant. It’s great that most centers are dog friendly so Daisy and I were able to relax in the heat with our owners and meet other dogs. We took a quick break for a bowl of water before grabbing a few items from the doggy menu, including treats from the bar and delicious doggy ice cream! As good as our food was, our owner’s burger and steak looked amazing! It was a short walk back to the motorhome and it was time for bed, before Park Rangers Jack and Matthew said hello! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and we met so many canine friends. We will be traveling around the local area tomorrow! Our owners have used the app to research dog attractions, beaches and places to eat, so we can’t wait to explore more and explore Dorset!
